Septa are springy bands that connect your skin to the muscle layer underneath. These bands are surrounded by fat cells, and over time can stiffen due to the effects of aging, weight gain, hormonal changes, or other factors.
As the septa stiffen, they pull against the surface of the skin, creating the puckering and dimpling we call cellulite. Cellulite can happen to any woman at any age after puberty, and often has more to do with genetics than weight.
RESONIC and the RAP technology work through a process called "acoustic subcision,“ meaning sound waves break apart the bands that cause cellulite beneath the skin’s surface.

RESONIC Important Safety Information
RESONIC is not for everyone, including those who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. RESONIC should not be used over areas with metal or plastic implants/devices, such as vascular stents or hip or knee implants and should not be placed in treatment areas with skin disorders such skin infections, rashes, extensive scarring, or psoriasis. RESONIC should not be used if you are currently using an active electronic implant such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, cochlear implants, nerve/brain stimulator or drug pump.

The most common side effect reported was mild to moderate temporary redness of the treated skin. Other side effects reported as mild were pain, heat, and small red or purple spots and patches on the skin.
